What is the name of your state? Maryland

If one parent has 100% physical custody of the children (but 50% legal custody), does that one parent have legal authority to move the children anywhere she wants to?

Ex: My ex-wife and I live in Maryland. She wants the kids in California to be raised by her mom. (My ex-wife says she will rejoin the kids in CA after one year when her job in MD is over.) I am adamant that the kids not be in CA, especially if one parent is not with them! Can I stop her in any way?

yes you can stop her, this post should be in the child custody forum.

she most definitly cannot just arbitrarily decide to have the children live with a non parent, especially if you are willing to have the child live with you.

what does your court order say about move aways? she should have to give you and the court notice, when she does then you go to court and contest the move.
