Cutting the tree

Simple question regarding the legality of cutting a tree that is on my neighbor's property but whose branches extend into my yard and affect my crops. I've offered both to split and completely cover the cost of having the tree removed but have been denied both times. Can I legally remove the entire tree? The branches that extend over into my yard? Any advice would be appreciated.

I've attached some pictures of the tree below. The first picture outlines the boundaries and where the tree is. The fence closest to you is my property and the other is my neighbor's. The tree is on their property but as the next two pictures show, extend into my yard and causes some difficulties with the crops I grow. Thank you for your time.

You cannot remove your neighbor's tree. You can prune the tree branches back to your property line in a way that does not injure or kill the tree.

I don’t know what kind of crop you are growing but it appears the only injury to your crops is based on the shade created by the branches. That doesnt matter concerning your rights to prune the tree but in the end it doesn’t appear it would make a big difference in the amount of shade cast upon your crops. In situations where you’re gains are not worth the animosity created, sometimes it’s better not make a big deal over what really doesn’t benefit you.

You certainly cannot remove your neighbor's tree without a court order. I do not think that you have any remote chance of getting a court order. However, lets say that you actually go to court...what argument can you make that your "crops" are more important than the neighbor's right to have their tree continue to grow on their land?
