Long story short.... my parents brought me to the US when I was 10 under a tourist visa that I overstayed. I applied for DACA and was granted deferred action and employment authorization when I was 19. I'm now 22 and my boyfriend and I have been together for 3 years and have a son. We plan on getting married. Here is the catch.... he was convicted on third degree sex offense in April of 2016. He did not serve any jail time. He was given probation for 5 years and has to register as a sex offender. He cheated on me with a 15 year old girl the summer of 2015 and had sexual intercourse with her. She consented to have sex and her mom was okay with the relationship until he realized what he was doing was wrong and ended the relationship. The mother went to the police station to talk to the police and they served him with papers in November of 2015. In April 2016 he pleaded guilty to sex offense in the third degree. How will this affect him sponsoring any legal status to me after we get married?
