my father's behavior has become more and more erratic financially and socially. he is coherent enough to prevent anyone else from helping him. he sees reliquishing control of his finances as a blow to his manhood. he is squandering what money he has left and none of us(his kids) know where it is going. he also does not have any type of pension or retirement. he is recieving money from the sale of his practice(dental) and social security. what can i do to keep him safe, protect his money, and not take away his sense of pride and independence? also i am only 24 and i do not have any money for a lawyer if needed. i don't want to be as extreme as a conservatorship, but that seems to be what is needed. is there anything less severe i can do?
thank you-concerned in tx
