What is the name of your state?Colorado

I filed a claim with some movers for damages to my property they caused during the move. I filed this claim two weeks after the move. They were supposed to contact me in writing within 30 days. That would have been a couple of weeks ago. I had been calling them a couple times a week since filing my claim. Today I got a notice that the owner filed Chapter 7. Is there anything I can do in the sense that I am more like a tort claimant than a creditor?

I think you need an attorney with some bankruptcy experience to help you sort this out. Among the issues that I see are (1) the relevant tariffs may depend on whether this was in intra- or inter-state move, (2) the employees who actually caused the damage may be individually liable to you, (3) the moving company may be a separate legal entity [such as a corp. or LLC] that is not affected by the bankruptcy, (4) the mover may have insurance that you can reach after obtaining relief from the automatic stay in the bankruptcy court, and (5) your own household insurance may cover your loss.
