my car was towed in may of last year and was damaged in the process. i've talked to the owner of towing company and obviously got nowhere. i live in the state of illinois is there a statue of limitations and is it even worth the time. my car was damaged to the toon of about 800.00 worth of damage

Simple... two step process:
1) WRITE (not telephone) the owner a letter, certified RRR. In your letter detail the circumstances, the damage, why you feel it was his company at fault, and include estimates of repair. Give him a reasonable response time (5 business days) to reply. If he doesn't reply or satisfy you, go to step 2.

2) File on the company (be sure you style the case correctly) in Small Claims court. It is both simple to do, you can represent yourself and it if fun!!!
