we live in the state of iowa. we are worried about a young man in our daughters life. she is 19 years old and does not see this as a bad situation. is there any legal way we can keep him away from her with having to involve her in this more then she already is. the main problem is he is from a different race and is is causing major problems with her life. could we get him for harassment or get a restraining order without her consent since she is of age?

Why does race pose a problem? You need to elaborate...

As far as what you can do? Nothing - your daughter is an adult now - let her take care of it IF she see's a problem - don't force her to do something because of your hatred for "different" races. Otherwise you will push her to him more, or someone of another race which you despise.
