Ahhh, so it looks like one of the previous owners did an aftermarket modification to it. Did they leave the pump on when they sold it? Or took the pump off, never putting the original brackets back on?

This is which mfg and model of sporty car?

dmcc10880 - how do you know that a dealer will inspect the car inside out and upside down before accepting a trade-in? Is that customary practice? I imagine some dealerships just look over the car, drive for a block and okay it without even putting it up on the lift to see what's what? Just wondering if there was some industry standard of what must be reasonably done before accepting a trade-in and/or selling a car.
