What is the name of your state?What is the name of your state? Wa

My mother died, she had told my son that he would find a lock box with everything that he needed to know to take care of things. It was empty and I found out that I am the legal next of kin anyway. Now she had nothing and there isn't even any money for burial. Is there anything legal that I am supposed to do?

I'm sorry for your loss. Does your mother own a home or any other property? Do you know if she had any bank accounts?
