What is the name of your state?NY
this is very complicated. please hear me out and offer any advice! my husband's grandfather died 18 years ago. he willed 2 parcels of property to my mil and her brother jointly. everything was done with the will, etc. except they never had the deeds transferred over. the deeds are still in my husband's grandfather's name. my mil is old and ill. she wants to convey her interest in the properties to us. her brother will not sell. i had contacted the lawyer who handled the will initially. he was going to draw something up. we wanted to have him do all the work because he is familiar with the case. now he is in the hospital. is there a simple way of drawing up legal papers on our own that will suffice until the lawyer is out of the hospital? any suggestions on anything i mentioned. thanks!
