A close friend of mine purchased a vehicle on Jan 29, 2008. Before purchasing the vehicle the AC didn't work and there was a scrubbing sound when the car made a turn. The dealer agreed to repair the two problems, which was a condition of her purchasing the vehicle (which she has in writing). The AC was repaired and they said the scrubbing sound was due to the type of tires on the vehicle. Turns out the issue isn't the tires but due to a bad rear end. They agreed to handle the labor for the repair but she'd have to pay for the part ($800).
Does she have any legal recourse since they agreed in writing to repair the problem, which they obviously didn't?
Thank you
Jaz
