I recently quit my job over a payroll dispute and since have found out that my former employer is giving false, malicious reference to any who call for reference. I have proof that his statements are not true. I cannot prove that his reference is the reason I have had such a hard time gaining employment but I sincerely feel it is. Is there anything I can do to stop his lies? I have since gotten a low-paying job to hold me and my family over until I can find a solution to this problem. Please advise me as to whether I should seek legal council or if there is anything I can do myself (legal forms or action I can take).
My thanks for anything you can offer.

You have posted your question(s) on the wrong Board. This is the Malpractice & Defective Products Law Board. Please go back to the "Forum Page" and choose the Employment Law Board, and re-post there.

Thank you.
