What is the name of your state? Texas

Is 1000 the usual limit paid on dental insurances? Are there any higher? Every plan I see seems to be an annual maximum of 1000.

Thanks,
Teggie

I've seen group policies that go to $1500, but $1000 is pretty standard.

You might want to go here; www.DentAchoice.com.

I just joined today, after finding out my daughters one tooth to fix is going to cost me $2,400 for both general and endo. charges. My companies plan cost us $120.62 a month? Hello! So I haven't had dental insurance.

Thank you! I wasn't sure about that.

Byrd I will check the link out you gave me. We have an HMO with Safeguard but it's proving to be difficult.

Thanks!

Your welcome, Teggie. Hope it works out better for you. I will save $800 using this plan. Should have my card within 10 days, just in time for her endo. appt.

Good Luck!

Be very careful. The "plan" described is not an insurance plan. They claim to have thousands of providers "participating" with the plan by using a major insurance company's name in the ad. The providers are not required to give the patient a discount.

Definitely check with your provider before any services are provided, and be prepared to remit payment, in full, at the time of service. You will only save money if your provider agrees to accept AccessOne's discounted amount.

Good luck.

Yes, I did check with both of my providers in my case and they were able to tell me the discounted price they would charge me over the phone.

Very true, not an INSURANCE Plan, but better than nothing. Since the one I joined was an Aetna based plan, there happened to be a good amount of participants within 5 miles of my home.:)
