What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? california

My two best friends wonder if this would apply. I'm not sure this is the right forum but I don't know where else to ask it.

Can one claim detrimental reliance from one partner faking a pregnancy and getting engaged and having the other partner quit their job and move under the condition that the victim partner was going to be the stay at home mom? can i sue for like lost wages and losing my health insurance and such? we got engaged then she "got pregnant" and after a couple months i did quit and move my teen and i. it is past the end of the preg and i am just finding things like fake internet ultrasound pix and such. there's a huge story behind it all but i'm trying to just get the basic question asked. many things were supposed to have happened including our wedding (twice) and it hasn't and pretty sure the preg has been a fake the whole time.

It means that your posting history is worth reviewing. Unfortunately it appears that more than one person is using your screenname as sometimes you appear male and sometimes you appear female.

OH! I am female. i don't see where in my profile or on posts it even says what my gender is. if it states male i need to swap it :)

No, you need to stop posting as multiple people.

THAT is the problem.

Have your wonderful friends sign up for their own accounts.

Then again, the answer to this one is easy.

No.

Your ... friend ... made choices without doing enough (any) investigation. That's on him.

Ok sorry. I know what posts I've made on here and I'm not sure where I've said im a man!

I was reasonably led to believe that my partner was pregnant and i would be the stay at home mom to the children. That's why i quit my job and moved. OR is detrimental reliance only involved in more consumer type of stuff?

Simple. Your partner fooled you into believing she was prego for several months. Most worldly posters here would have a hard time believing someone that gullible would be a lesbian.

THat is the problem. I'm not as worldly as I should be. But thank you for the compliment about lesbians! Gives me something to aspire to. She was very good at it. Everything had an excuse that seemed very believable but that eroded a bit over time. THen I just felt I needed to wait it out to confirm suspicions.
