What is the name of your state?
Oregon
I received a parking violation for parking in a disabled access aisle. The aisle had no sign and no wheel chair emblem. Snow and frost covered most of the faded yellow diagnol lines that marked the spot. A white sign in the parking space to the left of the aisle marked a disabled parking spot but was hidden by a van parked in it so the sign was not visible as I pulled up. I have taken pictures of the parking area and talked to several people who have parked in it who also didn't know it was an aisle. I read in Oregon regulations that to mark an access aisle a blue sign must be posted and say Van Accessible which alerts one to the fact there is an aisle. The cost of the ticket was $360.I have written a letter to the court but I am told that one must now post bail before anyone will look at the letter or set a court date. Is my evidence in order? Help?
