What is the name of your state? CA

To expand on my question below...I leased a computer a year ago. A few months ago I sold the computer (for $800) in desperation for money. 30 Days ago I filed for Ch 7 Bankruptcy. What could happen with this lease if they object? Will I have to pay them the $800 or the $4000 left on the lease? Is this debt dischargeable?

Thanks for any help / suggestions.

Yes, its dischargable, just like any car lease.

They MAY ask for the computer back, but you can't get back what you don't have. Of course, there's the issue of whether or not you actually had the right to sell it.

The worst that could happen is they object, the court finds in their favor, that debt isn't discharged.
