Discovery OF Libel Information

What is the name of your state?CA
Some one has written a defamation Email about me and passed on to the people. however, no one will show me the email as the people donot want to get invoved. So I am hearing things from 3rd or 4th parties.
Is there a way to call these people for deposition before I file the case about this Guy?
Is there any other way for the discovery of this evidence without filing a case?

My response:

Steve, you can't file a complaint without having the facts, first; i.e., in order to sustain your complaint and to withstand a Demurrer and Motion to Strike, you need to plead the actual words of slander in your complaint.

So, at this point, don't waste your money.

My response:

Obviously, from your question, not only do you NOT understand what I wrote to you, but you also don't understand the litigation process. We're not going to spend the time to give you lessons; nor are we going to put you through law school.

Consult with a local attorney, but based upon what you've said in your initial post, I rather doubt any attorney will take your case. I know I wouldn't.

Hello Mr. IAAL,

I have been to court 5 times, 4 times - small claims court and once superior court and have always won on my own without any Liar or lawyer. So I have a perfect record and can claim that I understand law well enough to protect myself.
My question here is more intellectual and philosophical one! If some one out there is to go around and slander and libel about you, they can go on and do that as long as you do not get any hard evidence in your hand, there is not a darn thing you can do about it. Well if this the law, than I have a problem with it and something should be done to change it.

I have been to court 100's and 100's of times over my career of more than 24 years. And, my win / loss record isn't bad either.

Since you have no proof, you have nothing to plead. You said, "My question here is more intellectual and philosophical one!" Well, I gave you an intellectual response based upon actual law. What does "philosophy" have to do with the price of eggs in China?

Appears to me that we are not communicating, I know I do not have enough evidence to go to the court, otherwise I will not be on this forum asking questions. I want to know if there are legal ways to get the truth out from the people who Libel and slander others, If not the legal system is a failure.

Yes there is. It's called filing a lawsuit. Once the lawsuit is filed and served on the defendants, you can conduct discovery. That is if you can get by the demurrer that will most likely be filed by the defendant/s.
