What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? TX

here's the deal. I had a 2week free pass to a local fitness club. First day i went in there, the manager was rude and didn't want to accept the pass, forced me to get membership.
I said,. i'd rather wait. Today was the 13th day of free membership. I went in there, the manager denied and said i will have to become member first. He also stated that people like me piss him off and that i can get out of there if i don't want membership. I am a muslim and this is obvious by my name.
I believe i have become a victim of discrimination, and i would like to file a law suit on the company.
Will it make a strong case? Another woman was there who was listening to everything. She is also an employee of the health club

Having a 'feeling' of discrimination is not the same as being able to PROVE discrimination. Do you have any PROOF that you were discriminated due to your religion?? If so, contact a local attorney.

Will it make a strong case?
Absent some type of evidence to support, unlikely.

Another woman was there who was listening to everything. She is also an employee of the health club
Do you feel she would support your opinion?? If so, it could certainly help your claim.

You will get the same answers here....

You cannot prove what he didn't like about you... personally, I think it was someone that wasn't paying to use the club...

You have no case.

almost sounds like you ran into my legal husband. people like you, always means those who refuse to buy a membership and tries to keep coming back on a free trial. at least with him. his discrimination, people who don't buy memberships and waste his time. he loves those that buy a full 3 year package with training. even if you were osama bin ladin.

you don't have a case. you would have to be told, "becauase you are muslim, i am not allowing you access to this club".

Thankx ya all

I appreciate all the responses. I am not the kind of person who keeps coming back for free membership. God has blessed me and i am able to afford the membership fairly easily. Its just the fact that he allowed my co worker, who is a Caucasian, to workout for straight 14 days + 2 days as an add-on bonus and he came to club almost every day.
On the other hand, i came to club only 2 times. And still on the 13th day of free trial, i was denied service.

This is not discrimination? Isn't this unfair?

Considering he wanted you to get a membership it doesn't sound much like discrimination. It sounds more like he was upset that he felt you were going to complete the free pass and not join the club. Personally, I feel if you offer a free trial term you should honor that and you may have a false advertising claim here depending on what the free pass states. Most of them I've seen do have a clause in the fine print allowing them to terminate the free access whenever they want.
