Is hostile work environment laws govern only public company's ? are Private company's exempt?

Private companies are covered under "hostile workplace" laws too!!! I don't know what state you are in, but at least in California (where I am an attorney) there are state and federal laws that we labor lawyers can use in pursuit of justice for our clients in this area. Do you have any specific question?
