What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
CA

Can county agency (a department of a State agency) that is funded by Federal money discriminate on the basis on income of residents served.

No other county agency in the state does this but this one county. Nor does this discrimination happen in any of the other states funded by the same federal funds.

Thanks.

Yes, they can. It depends on the service requested and the requirements for the service requested.

Most services have requirements that must be met before you qualify for the aid. If these are not met, no aid.

Perhaps you might think I should be able to get Medicare ... yeah, I'm too young based upon the rules, but isn't that AGE discrimination?

Why shouldn't I qualify for WIC? I have children and do not make a lot of money, and, boy, eggs, milk and cheese from the government would be nice! That income level requirement should be abolished so I can get these things for free from the government!

Income requirements exist for many things. Some might seem arbitrary, others might be valid. But, they are lawful. I suspect you are barking up the wrong tree ... or simply venting.

The federal funds do NOT have an income requirement. The funds are to inform all citizens of gardening and pest issues. The is the Cooperative Extension mission. It is Federally funded
