What is the name of your state? Southern California:
I know this site is for legal questions......but I was hoping someone might know what to suggest to a friend of mine who's wife of 18 years told him out of the blue she does not love him anymore? Wants a divorce.
He's a wreck with 3 kids to keep on track and a business to run.
Know any good counselors or support groups in So. Ca. What about reputable divorce lawyers? She's out for "the farm". :(

Tell your friend to visit with several family law attorneys. Most will give 30 minutes consultation without charge, but even $50 would be worth it. Then, tell him to go to his local District Court and sit through a couple of days of divorce and/or custody hearings. He will learn a lot (more than he ver wanted to know). Of course, that's all after shutting down the credit cards. :(

Update.......unbelievable !!!

 Not that anyone is losing sleep over this but, my dear friend who I have been posting all these questions for is going BACK to his wife.
At 12:00 Sunday afternoon she was done with the marriage. At 5;00 that evening she said she realized she has personal issues and does not want to lose her husband. She said on Nov. 1st she wants him to move home!(why it's not today I do not know) I'm blown away. I'm happy for him as this is what he wants yet, I think they are both messed up!!! By the way after 20 years isn't spousal support permanent?
Thanks for all the legal help .
