What is the name of your state? GA

In my divorce agreement it states that until our marital home is to be sold and that the 1st mrtge is paid by my ex and the second paid by me. If I get a job in another state is there anything preventing me from renting the house to a friend until it is sold and have that person pay the second mortgage on my behalf. Is there anything my ex can do to prevent that?

The house belongs to both of you. Therefore you can't rent it out without the approval of your ex. Your ex may agree to a rental if he/she shares in the financial benefit....however I sincerely doubt that he/she would if not.

Why not just sell the house and move on from the relationship? What if your "friend" wrecks the house? What if the "friend" does something illegal and causes suffering on you and your ex? Why not just get the relationship over with, sell the house and move on without this baggage?
