What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?CA  I filed a petition for divorce & custody because wife left without my parental authority/knowledge to Alaska. We've lived in CA and together since 1998-have three sons. I gave her time to come back before I filed & she waivered so I had to. Now, a couple days after, she said she was scared of my threats so she filed in Alaska! She's only been there 2 1/2 months and the case on file in court online info said "case flagged-tracking". I sent the clerk an email stating the obvious-then I called the records clerk said she lied and put 6 months for residency to file. Do I sit and wait to be served? I thought we had 30 days to serve a person for divorce-she filed 7-26, it's 8-12 and nothing? I miss my sons, I have the legal standing but...what can I do to move this forward and how can this happen? Will she be punished for filing a lie to cover her mistake of leaving? I need to know now if somone can please tell me-Thanks :(
