California.

I was given an "Order for Publication" by Los Angeles Superior Court to serve the defendant via publication. The newspaper publicized the summons and provided me with a copy and filed a copy of the publication with the court.

Can someone advise what is next? Do I wait to hear from the court or is there something I need to file to continue the process? I've been put on hold for over 45 minutes each time I call the court house and can't seem to get someone to answer the call to find out the answer for myself.

Anything to point me in the right direction would be great. Thanks.

About a week after the last publication date, go to the courthouse and file for default. Continue the process as usual....

Good luck.
