I havent been on for a while, been a little bit under the weather, but I am wondering if anyone on this forum could advise me about what is bothering me?

I was sick for about 2-3 months and sought help through the ER room in my home town. I couldnt breath right and I had lots of pain in my chest and back.
One doctor said I had a heart attack said to go see my family doctor and released me. Of course I ended back at the ER room for the same problems couldnt breath and pain,smoothing. They kept me and said they wanted to do a heart cath. I agreeded, after the heartcath the heart doctor said my heart was fine. I said to him, well what is wrong with me, he responded and said I am not sure, it is probably yor lungs and released me to go see my family doctor.

I did go back and see my family doctor and he sent me for a scope test to look at my upper GI, it turned out good too. After this i was still sick and one evening at my daughters i coughed and then i lost my breath, I had a phuemothorax which blew a hole in my lung and deflated it too. called 911 and barely made it to the ER room alive where they inserted a tube, got me stable and next day took me to a hospital in another county. I had surgery on my lung, the surgeon said my lung was so badly infected it was running out my bronicals so that is when he decided to cute me open. I heard that the doctor who did my heart cath was suppose to do a chest X-ray to make sure there wasnt any problems with my lung or lungs maybe resulting in a thorax after the heart cath. A X-ray wasnt taken and I am wondering if he prehaps made a mistake? This has so severly damaged my life, it has been 4 months almost and I am still unable to work and ride in a car. I have had very severe panic attacks and have been put on medication to control this, as well as taking all kinds of medication for pain, infections, and so on... If anyone could advise me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

As we told you before we cannot tell you what is wrong or make a diagnosis. We cannot tell you if you have a mal practice case you will have to consult a med/mal attorney who will review your records. You were given some information about these proeceedures. I also told you that with your history of smoking and Asthma you should get checked for A1AD because this is a cuse of spontaneaous pnumothorax https://forum.freeadvice.com/showthread.php?t=299795 You have had time to contact the link i gave to have, take the test and receive the confidential test results, what were the results of that test?

ok A1Ad.. what kind of test is that? I am seeing a lung specilist at this time, and he preforms fuctions test one each visit, it this something new?? Sorry I havent been on for a while kinda been sick here !! The purpose of my re write is> i wonder about why any facility or doc could over look what condition my lung was in? Please and not get to aggravated with me i am under alot of stress. I just want to see where i stand with this and i will take a test, i will ask my doc about it.

I know I am wearing thin here and I will dismiss myself from this subject. However, I have collected the information in different aspects of the opinionated. Therefore I will do the test and see what my Doctor says. It is one way to say on here how and what i have delt with, when I had sought medical attention for what was bothering me.. couldnt breath, pain, and they missed that? As sick as I was? They never once in the Er room give me an anit-biotic of any sort? i dont know who in the hell was reading my x-rays but they sure did miss it! Doctors aint that stupit, geesh we have the finist and upmost sienctist in the whole, and they teach very well. Sorry I am beside myself with this. I would if i was a doctor, knowing the background of the perosn whom was my patient and who has been to the Er room several times with same conditon, would take better measures! Not releasing them until I knew what was wrong?? But they let me walk until i exploded.. I am sure you all have not had this happen to you, and My God I hope Never!!!!!!!!!!! It is a mightmare !! Yes I am guilty of smoking and i am sure my lungs werent in the best of shape, I do understand that, but I cant get this out of my head about how they didnt detect my lung was so badly infected that when the surgeon got in there and told my family**************. i dont if she is gonna come back or not? As I awoke I heard him say that and he said .. well there she is!!!!!!!! sorry i am so upset over this. I am so damaged physical and mentally, and I dont what to do? Maybe it was because I didnt have insurance>> geesh I hope not.. at least with with my surgeon and lungdoctor they took very good care of me, I m still here>> thank God.. I gave you the information before you posted a lot of other threads. The test for A1AD is a simple test and free at the site I directed you to. While A1AD may cause spontaneous pneumothrax, it isn't the only cause, nor does the absense of the test or X-Ray prove mal-practice, but it may contribute to better understanding of your condition and possible treatment. What do you want to do, sue a doctor at a random ER where you sought and received services or to get better?
