What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Maryland

Ive been with my company for 3 1/2 years. I am female. Have never been written up for anything. Our human resource generalist is having personal relations with our immediate manager, so employees do not feel confident going to her with problems and there'd be confidentiality because everything gets back to him because of their personal relationship.

I was a trainer/supervisor so employees starting coming to me with their problems (not the correct chain of command) Management had got upset, and since then, have been on my ass for every little thing. Yet, I never managed to get written up.

One day I was pulled in the office and told there was no "need" for my training position, that I would be making a lateral move to just a regular supervisors position. They did that.

One evening after a major snow storm, I got hurt on the job. I was told by my boss I needed to stay and work even though I was hurt. I did, and after I left, they had a "service failure", which was people receiving a product an hour late. I was written up, suspended 10 days, and demoted.

Since then, a male lead they had in charge has had 2 service failures, has not been suspended or written up or demoted. A supervisor has had 2 service failures, one in which could have been fatal, yet he was not written up for suspended.

They then reopened my position, and gave it to a girl who has been with the company for 6 months, and does not have the experience I have. I have 8 years experience, she has 6 months.

I have a lot of documentation against the employer and management. Do I have anything I can work with or would it be worthless?

So.... your saying they fired you because you were a woman, then put a woman into your position?

I dont know if you know this or not, but the employer has a right to fire you for whatever and whatnot. No reason required.

I was not fired... I was demoted and the reason for demotion was a "service failure".

Yet two males have had two service failures, yet nothing has happened to them.

Thats more of the issue. My issue with the female is she wanted to file sexual harassment against the manager. She came to me, and I called the correct person at our corporate office to help her with her claim. Since then, I was demoted, and she was promoted. Its like since I helped her with that, I got in more ****.

They can demote you if they want. How they treat other people who arent you has nothing to do with you.

If you feel like the action is retaliation against you for helping file a sexual harassment complaint, you are welcome to bring that up with your states labor board.

State Labor Boards do not handle sexual discrimination issues. That would be the EEOC or (if there is one) the state equivalent.
