Hi everyone my name is chris i live in Michigan. In 2015 my wife had moved out and filed filed for divorce, not long after she filed we started working things out again. Her dad was her attorney and wanted us divorced bad. During that time we were doing our own thing too, our divorce was dismissed for lack of interest and eventually she moved back in. The following month she was pregnant, the thought it may not be mine had crossed my mind but she swore it was mine so thru the whole pregnancy "its your, its yours" so in February our son was born and we were very happy. After a few months she started spending more and more at her dads with the baby and less and less time at home till finally she stopped sleeping here... for several months she claimed she was coming home and during all this we were still together, she and i still did things as a family and most weekends she stayed home, the three of us... finally for no reason she filed for divorce again. I told her that in it made it the 21 days and i was forced to answer her complaint i was going to go thru with the divorce. so for nearly 21 days every week she claimed she was dismissing the divorce and coming home, and thru out all of this she was reassuring me that i was our sons father. Now in the complaint for divorce it talked about a paternity test proving i was not our sons father, this was the first i had ever heard of any of this... she still claimed that i was the dad and her dad wrote all that and she didnt read it... of course her story changed the very next time she got mad.. she wanted the divorce wanted me to sign a consent judgement giving up my son all rights and she wanted a divorce... she stopped bring my over even on the days we had agreed too. now shes telling me that the guy who is my sons biological father has came forward, tested and wants to be his dad... my son will be a year next week ... do i have a leg to stand on to keep this from happening .. i dont care about the divorce or the test or the guy ... Colt is my son and no test or judge will change that... ???????????????? what rights do i have and what should i be worried about ....?????

Honestly, I think at this point, you need to know the truth and go from there. It's very possible he is your son, but it's also possible he isn't. I suggest you get legal representation, ask for a paternity test, and go from there. I'm so sorry you're going through this. It's not fair to you or to the child.
