I didn't know really where to post this question, but I thought this was the closest forum. I scheduled my children an appointment with a therapist, or what I though t was a therapist. Upon seeing the therapist I was informed that the indivisual that I visited (for only a short time) was only a doctor that gave an initial interview to determine whether or not the children need to be refered to a therapist. The indivisual did refer my children to another therapist and instructed me to make an appointment with this particular therapist before leaving. I was told that thie therapist's office would get back to me on an appointment date. Two weeks later I called the office because I had not heard anything and I was informed that the therapist refused to see my children due to a "onflict of interes". called for further information everal times, but the therapist refuses to speak with me and explain to me what she is talking about, and I am clueless on what the "conflict of intrest" is. The problem is that this indivisual therapist is the only therapist in this particular clinic that deals with pediatrics therefore I cannot be referred to another therapist in the same office, but I am being charged $282.00 per child (two children) by the indivisual that provided the referral. Is there anything I can do about this since I am being charged for services that are further being refused to me?
