What is the name of your state? PA

If NCP has access to school papers via the school is the CP legally obligated to make copies of paperwork that comes from the middle school and mail them to the NCP?

I know the moral answers...

Depends on what the court orders say. If they tell CP that he/she's to provide copies to the NCP, then he/she has to provide copies to the NCP.

Then I would assume that any access to the records is the responsibility of the parent who wants the access. I could be wrong, but that's what would make sense to me.

I like that assumption, :) but would be really interested in knowing the law.

Does anyone know of the legality of this?

§ 5309. Access to records and information.

(a) General rule.--Except as provided in subsections (b) and (c), each parent shall be provided access to all the medical, dental, religious or school records of the child, the residence address of the child and of the other parent and any other information that the court deems necessary.

(b) Court determination not to release information.--The court, in its discretion, may determine not to release any part or parts of the information in this section but in doing so must state its reason for denial on the record.

(c) Nondisclosure of confidential information.--The court shall not order that the address of a shelter for battered spouses and their dependent children or otherwise confidential information of a domestic violence counselor be disclosed to the defendant or his counsel or any party to the proceedings.

I have a multi-function fax/printer/coper/scanner (under $100 with rebate). I find it a really easy way to manage paper documents, such as all those notices my kid brings from school. I just feed it in, it loads into my PC as a PDF file, and I name it, and either email it or drop into a document folder of School Stuff. I'll email a copy to my husband at the office as a reminder, for example.

That would be a great way to distribute school stuff.
