Does a Certificate of Rehabilitation 'erase' conditions from DOJ fingerprint background check?
I was reading this webpage https//criminal-law.freeadvice.com/criminal- law/arrestsandsearches/california-certificate-of-rehabilitation.htm and saw this statement regarding Certificate of Rehabilitations 'The COR does, however, restore the right to vote and legally permit you to answer on employment applications that you have no record of conviction.' Everything else I have read regarding COR say this doesn't allow you to answer 'No' I obtained a COR 3 years ago, and have been lucky and I have not had to do any fingerprinted background checks for employment. All my background checks have come up saying 'no records'. I am applying for a job which will require a DOJ fingerprinted background check. What will show up on this report? Can I say no on my employment application when asked if convicted?
