What is the name of your state? California
Ok Here I go again. As a matter of documentation (hey I took some advise!) we are video taping our nuisance neighbors ,being, a nuisance.
Then today, we have to call the cops cause they retaliate by having a vulgarity contest and urinating against our shared property wall when my kids are out playing.
( All this they can't understand that we object to) and the kid from next door comes over and says it was illegal to videotape her and her friends in the street cause she is a minor and this is a free country etc...expletives for effect. Of course her mother doesn't come out of the house to object.

SO can we still keep taping these half naked gals(have you seen what teen girls think are clothing these days?) smoking and cussing like a sailor infront of our house?

No, it is not illegal to videotape people in a public place doing things you can see from a place you have a lawful right to be.

Audiotaping them might be a problem if you are using any kind of a device that can capture the sound easier than the ear.

So, if your video recorder has a parabolic or other sensitive audio recorder (doubtful, but possible), you might want to be careful.
