What is the name of your state? RI

It has been a while since my last post. I would like some advice on what steps to take next when I got back to court in 3 weeks.

I will try to sum this up, unless you read my previous posts.

Never been married to Ex, I always saw my daughter from birth until a month before her 4th b-day. Ex moved w/out my knowledge w/her boyfriend to NY then to FL then back here to RI. I obtained a restraining order so she couldn't remove the child from the state. After going to Court 3 times and her trying to gain counsel but no one would represent her. I got supervised visits once a week for about 2 months so I could at least be reunited w/my daughter since it had been almost 3 yrs. And she had to find a lawyer she showed for the first visit at the court house w/her boyfriend and because he could not even been on the court grounds she refused to let me see her. Needless to say I never got to see her about 2weeks after that I found out she skipped the state again and went back to FL w/her parents.

We filled a contempt motion for a violation of the restraining order and the visitation order all this was in Feb 2004. She finally got a lawyer here to represent her, she tried to claim she wasn't a resident of RI. This was continued all year until this past Jan 2005. Her lawyer says she is moving back to RI to be w/her boyfriend again because she left him behind when she left. We went to court in April. I recieved Joint Custody, Vistitation every Tues. and Thursday and Every other weekend until a review in June.

We went on June 14th she did not show, her lawyer contacted her and they made up an overnight schedule and another review which is in less than 3weeks.

In the mix of all this the first court order she refused to let me see her a few days. and this new court order she states was not legit even though I have the court papers, she refuses to let her spend the night. Her lawyer dumped her now she has a new one. My lawyer doesn't know any of this because he is on a 3week trip out of the country he comes back 3 days before court.

Just for the record I live w/my wife and our 3 children. My other daughter loves coming over and never wants to leave and she tells me that she keeps asking her mom to sleep over and her mom keeps saying no not till she is older and that she doesn't trust me. My other children also love having there older sister over and ask why she can't spend the night I don't know what to say. My daughter is now 7yrs old.

I know we can file a contempt for violating this court order, plus my lawyer never lifted the other 2 prior contempt from when she left the state.

what should I do can I fight this and get custody of her any advice on what to do or what are my chances because I have had enough.

Anyone out there know the answer.

I don't know if that was all to complex, because I haven't gotten a response.

But anyway does/has anyone reversed a custody order from joint to full or something of that nature?

What does in take to get custody reversed?????

Thanks in advance.

I think you may have to ride it out with the contempt filings. Enough violations, and the judge will start getting pissed. Trust your lawyer and hold on for the ride.
