What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California
I File for abandonment and I only know where the biological fathers brother lives, so I went ahead and use this adress to serve him with the citation, but he is in Mexico, so We served him there, now, when the investigator does the investigation, does he travels to Mexico? since the biological father lives there? or with me serving him is enough? Does the investigator goes to find out to try to get his side of the story all the way over there? and when everything is done, does court send the biological father some type of paperwork to his home adress in mexico? because since this will include an Stepparent adoption aswell!! I just want to know because he has made death treaths to me and I kinda don't feel comfortable of him Knowing all my info, like my address since the citation papers have all my info in them, I don't think that's a good Idea!!

How can you file for "abandonment" when you are hiding his child from him?

If he doesn't have your address then you are hiding the child from him. Does he (dad) have your phone number or any way to contact you?

Where is the mother?
Was the mother born in this country?
Were the mother and father married?

ETA: Might as well point out where I'm headed with this. It is entirely possible that you are legally required to involve the Mexican government in this matter.

Yeah, excellent. You have now stolen a child. I certainly hope your scheme does NOT work.

If he is the legal father, it is possible he could file kidnapping complaint due to the fact that you are HIDING his child from him. You moved without telling him and he doesn't CURRENTLY know your number? yeah I can see you in trouble with the law for that one.

I assume that you are attempting a stepparent adoption now?

How old is the child and how long has it been since you have had any contact with the father? How long was it that the father knew how to contact you?, and how long has it been since the father stopped having your contact information?

So you're bitter that he didn't chase after you. That's not a good enough reason to keep father and child apart, and trying to get a new father for the poor child.

Do you have an attorney?
If you do, what does your attorney say about you deliberately hiding your location from the father?

If you don't have an attorney- YOU NEED ONE ASAP.

He has always had acces to my information!!!!!!( wanna make that clear!!)
She is 9 years old, last time i talked to him was 6 years ago and I gave him my phone number so he could keep contact with his daughter, because it was her B-Day and he didn't bother to call, so I called him!! He stoped calling his daughter when I told him I was going to get married and he said that he was glad that someone else was going to take his spot!!

Something else I want to make clear!!!

He doesn't have a passport visa, so there is no way of him visiting anyways because he can't come to the U.S.A. His parents and Brother Last time they where her is when my daughter was 4 years old and since then they even haven't come back!!! So of course I tried everything I could to have him in her life, but he chose not to!
