I've looked at a number of cases on pacer that have the same trustee as us. He usually files the "request for proof of claim" in asset cases a couple of days after the 341 meeting, but there are cases that he waits a couple of months or longer before filing it. We are an asset case and had our 341 about a month ago, and he has not sent out the proof of claim notice (I'm probably not getting that exactly right but it's something close). We do not have any property that needs to be sold or anything, just some straight forward things to turn over to him. I've emailed him and sent him a letter asking him to let us know how to turn assets over to him (we got our tax return), but no response. Does he have complete discretion about when things get done or is there a timeline that needs to be met for collecting assets and moving the case along. I guess my fear is that this could drag out for a really long time before our case is officially closed.
