My ex-boyfriend was granted a domestic violence restraining order on me. However, he continuously calls me by phone leaving harassing and defamatory messages. Also, he sends emails. At first emails were stating how he wanted me back and for us to be together and how much he still loved me. When he found out that I was seeing someone, the emails became extremely defamotory. He also has posted defamatory information about me on a website. I have kept records of all voice mails and emails.

My question is 1) Can he get restraining order extended even though he continuously contacts me? and 2) Can I get the current restraining order dismissed because of his incessant contact with me?

Thanks for your attention to this.

probably, if he isn't restricted from contacting you, and you don't report his harrassment

probably not, I doubt that the order was issued because he didn't contact you, it won't be lifted because he does.

have you considered filing your own RO?
