1988 Drew up a DPOA as my mom suffered from Alzheimers to be implemented when her TWO doctors declared her incompetent. Two people one of them my brother would be handling her money, equally

1989 DPOA was implemented without her main Doctor saying she ws incomp.

1991 My mom dies and I asked for an accounting of DPOA. They told me there was no records kept and no accounting was ever given

1991 I went to bank to get my moms records and I was shocked, as numerous checks were written to my brothers wife, his kids , himself to cash and to the other person involved. They actually cashed checks after my mom died. These checks totaled over $12,,000. I asked them to please return the money, they refused, and said I could get a lawyer, but I had no money to do that.

1992 My moms estate is settled without an accounting of DPOA.

My question is is there a statute of limitations regarding the DPOA as I actually never signed anything regarding this, or the fact this was never implemented properly with the Doctors letter declaring her incompetent

I am not a Wisconsin lawyer, but 12 years seems many years too long to uncover matters of this kind, don't you think? My GUESS is that the statute of limitations expired long ago.
