Out of curiosity, are there any other states that impose something like NY's driver responsibility assessment? If so, which states and what are those fees called?

Well, there are 49 other states. If you think anybody is going to research them for you you’re nuts. Not only is it onerous, your question is ill defined.

You might want to start with a google search to satisfy your curiosity.

Um, that's hostile for no reason. I'm just wondering if anyone knew the answer. It's not like I didn't try to Google it first. Anyone who doesn't know doesn't have to respond. Geez.

NY's driver responsibility assessment fees seem similar to the enhanced penalties that most other states impose on "habitual offenders."

I didn't find any guides that list all the states in one place so you'll have to go state by state if you want to find out the habitual offender penalties in any particular state or states.

Some states just mandate driving school or outright suspend you.
There are a few that mandate surcharges after a certain numbrer of points or for certain violations (all you have to do is look at NJ for the latter).

It's not hostile and the tone of the response was appropriate because it was a dumb question. No one knows the answer you seek. YOU need to research it yourself. Why do you even care what other states do?
