Over four years ago I was prescribed a medication to treat an acne problem. At the time, the list of side effects was vague and not explained by the prescribing doctor. I was later taken off of the drug due to rapid weight loss. About one year later I had to seek medical attention for what was diagnosed as Bi-Polar disorder. Recently it has become aware to me that there is evidence of a probable link between the drug which I had been prescribed and depression disorders. My question is this, would I have legal grounds to seek compensation from the drug company for failing to provide adequate precautions, or do I just go on with life and forget about the findings? Any insight that could be offered would be greatly appreciated.

It costs nothing to consult with a capable lawyer listed on AttorneyPages.com (linked from FreeAdvice.com) who handles drugs and toxic torts, or defective product litigation. Read the appropriate sections under Personal Injury and Drug and Toxic Torts and Product Libility / Defective Products on FreeAdvice.com then ask a lawyer listed on AttorneyPages.com. That lawyer will probably know more about the drug and company involved that you do.
