I am a law school graduate. What I offer is mere information, not to be construed as forming an attorney client relationship.

You are the master of your attorney. Remember that. Either make sure he continues to represent you professionally and in a timely manner so your case outcome in not sacrificed or end this relationship, hire a new attorney who will get your files from former attorney and begin there. Then report old attorney/law partner to the state bar.
