This question is for a friend who currently lives in Texas. He had an Oklahoma license, while in Arkansas it was suspended for a DUI. This occurred over 7 years ago. He was under the impression that he would not be able to get his license back. But I had done extensive research and found that all he has to do is take an alcohol saftey course and send the information along with a reinstatement fee to Arkansas. Once his name is cleard and license is reinstated, will he be able to get his Texas license or will they hold it back for other reasons that are not apparent? He was also thinking that since this was over 7 years ago and he has not had any other driving offenses that he may be able to apply for a hardship license so that he can get back and forth to work without the assistance of friends and family. 7 years ago he was 21 years young and now he has been on the straight and narrow and wants to try to get his life back together independantly. If you have any advise, please share.

Thank you
Debbie

Debbie....I live in Texas. He'll be able to get his license without much problem. Contact Austin for the necessary info. He'll have to fill out some kind of form, SR22 I think it's called and send Austin $100 or so.
