What is the name of your state? Texas
I am the executor of my mother's living will. I have discovered that she is giving a very large amount of money to one of my siblings. This is unfair to the remaining children. I would like to know if this could be stopped by obtaining a power of attorney? As far as I can determine she is of sound mind other than short-term memory loss.

You stated that your mother is of sound mind. If that's the case, she can give away money to anyone she wishes to give money to. She doesn't have to give you anything, nor leave you anything in her will.
