What is the name of your state?new jersey a "friend" of mine got into an accident that totaled her car she was charged with dwi and reckless driving, not only that, she was driving on the wrong side of the road and hit another vehicle injuring the driver, she says she swerved to avoid an animal in the road (a groung hog at 9pm at night?) i think she is full of sh*t and just saying that for insurance reasons, she just got her license back from a dwi less than 2months ago. My ? is this will her insurance company honor her policy if she totaled her car while drunk what about the other driver who was injured? I told her she's in alot of trouble, but she is sticking to her story about the ground hog. How much trouble is she in???Any input will help...this woman should not be on the road!!!!! Won't the insurance company get the police report and see that she was charged with dwi?

Though I fail to see what business ANY of this is of yours, I will answer that unless she has a 'DWI clause' in her policy (VERY unlikely) her insurance company will still cover the claim. However, it is VERY likely that they will refuse to provide future coverage for her.... at least at her former premium.
