Hi! Quick question regarding the e3 visa...

I am currently living and working in Florida (on an e3 visa).

I have been offered a position with another company in New York - which can be done remotely.

My question is...am I able to work remotely from Florida for this job? Or will I need to relocate? I'm not sure if it's a requirement of the e3 visa to be "in the office" or at the least in the same state/ location as the office of the employer? I guess technically if the job can be done remotely, it may be seen as there's no reason to be living in the States?

Any help/ guidance on this situation before I accept the job would be appreciated :)

The issue isn't where you live or working remotely. The problem is getting the new employer approved. Note that as with H-1B, you can't really "transfer" an E-3 to a new employer. The employer must be approved. The employer will need to file a new LCA and then you either go to a US consulate somewhere else (which may be dicey due to COVID restrictions getting there and back) or you can apply through the service center here, but the latter takes a long time comparatively
