What is the name of your state?Alaska, I worked for an autoparts store for 2 years, I was sent outside one day to change a bulb in a high voltage sign 220/30 amps, and was electrocuted and fell from the ladder, compressing 3 discs and herniating a disc in my neck. I was off work for about a month and a half, in the mean time I was offered a job elsewhere when I recovered and was released 100% from the drs. At the begining of Febuary I was released to go back to work only to awnser phones. After 3 days I was fired for some made up excuse, the same day the employer contacted WC and had them drop me and also called my other job and told them I was a thief now I have no job, the doctors wont give me clearence to go back to work, my wife is 7 months pregnant and I just bought a house.... What do I do where do i turn, If anyone can help me or give me the name of a good attorney to help me id greatly appreciate it. Mike in Seward, Alaska

After 3 days I was fired for some made up excuse If you were terminated on a pretext and the real reason they fired you is because you had a WC claim, that is illegal.

the same day the employer contacted WC and had them drop me That simply didn't happen. Worker's compensation insurance carriers are highly regulated by the State. Your employer CANNOT have the WC carrier "drop" you. Liability for your claim was clearly established and a WC carrier unlawfully refusing to pay benefits that you are due under your State's WC reg's would be subject to significant penalties from the State and perhaps even have their license revoked.

and also called my other job and told them I was a thief If that happened, that likely would be tortious interference but how do you know that took place?

If you need to consult with a Worker's Compensation attorney, contact your local or State Bar Association and ask for referrals to WC attorneys in your area.
