I'm still waiting to hear what this fantastic advice was.
Go ahead, OP. Show everyone up with the magnificent solutions they all missed.
Wow, I just got off the phone with a lawyer, and she gave me fantastic advice. She said nothing about knowing better to move in to an apartment building with upstair neighbors. She didn't belittle me or ridicule me for asking her a question. She did NOT discuss any preventative measures "that were discussed here." She actually gave advice that will help me. Man, people love pointing out other people's flaws.

What magnificent solutions did everyone miss?
That's what we're waiting for you to tell us. Supposedly the lawyer that you spoke to LONG after office hours gave you some advice that solved your problem. What was it?
I talked to her at 2pm, that's not within your normal office hours? And I already posted what she said, but I used the B word and it was reported. I don't think I'm going to type it all again because obviously no one on this thread really cares. Is there a forum were you can actually get advice about your current situation without being told what you did was stupid. Isn't that why people come to get advice, because they're in a jam and need solutions instead of "well, you should have done this." It seems like no one really wants to help on this site and I find that truly sad. Not for me because I know what to do now about my problem, but for the future people who really need someone with the knowledge to help them out. Why even post if all you're going to do is tell them what an idiot they are. It's stupid, counterproductive, and only makes the asker feel worse.
Odd that you never mentioned calling an attorney until you didn't get the answer you wanted here.
I called several attorneys yesterday and got a call back today from one of them. You still didn't answer any of the other questions I had.
I know the answer ...Nor have you answered ours. Still waiting for that revelation that is going to change the world.
And just because the attorney allegedly gave you the magic words to try to get out of your lease doesn't necessarily mean they'll work. Is that same attorney willing to defend you in the event that you are forced to legally defend your position?
