I am employed by a nonprofit organization in Michigan. Health insurance is a fringe benefit. The policy covers individuals, 2-persons, families. The employee pays a small portion of the premium. The board of directors passed a policy that states an employee is not eligible for health insurance if they are on another person's policy. The employer offers nothing in lieu of this benefit. Is this legal?
