I am in Oregon and I have a business that recently went bankrupt. I have a past customer who is very upset that he hasn't received his product yet. I have been honest with him and explained our situation many times and he is now threatening me and my wife. Granted, he did pay for the product, but because of problems with the business (a very long story concerning problems with a loan we got from a local government agency..mismanagment of funds, bad advice, etc.) he has not been sent his 2 items he ordered. We just don't have the money to ship them.
My wife has been telling him our situation and now we get the following email from him today...(this isn't the first one he has sent like this either, but it is the most recent and worst one). It has been a bit edited so I don't get in trouble for posting vulgar/nasty posts

Look I don't give a rats a$$ about your problems. You are selling molds, I offered to take one in lieu of the fish, and you ignored my email. Your problems are your problems. I personally think you are a bull$hit artist, and Thief. Big deal you wrote in December That is 3 months ago, I'm supposed to wait forever.
Well, now your bankruptcy is the least of your problems. I will personally shove every fish and mold you have left up Your and your husband's a$$ when I get there. Believe me, you have no idea how far I will go or How much I will
spend to prove a point, It is a matter of honor. When I make a promise I keep it at all cost. don't make me promise to destroy you. You WILL regret It.

This man is threatening us. What can be done to make him leave us alone. I understand his frustration, but we have been honest with him and explained our situation..what more can we do? We can't ship his things because we do not have the money to do that. It is a struggle for us to survive from day to day even.
Here is another email we got from him on 3-8-01 (he sent a disguising email to us with a different email address posing as someone else wanting a product...I replied because we are still trying to make a go of this business and this is what he sent back to me)

Well, It is more than apparent to me that you are simply trying to rip me off, I am Pi$$ed now, I warn you I am No one to trifle with, You have obviously mistaken my kind heart and understanding for weakness. Go to this site and you will see how easy it is to file mail fraud charges.

Your lack of response cannot be excused since you Immediately answered my friends purchase inquire In less than 24 hours. If I do Not hear from you within 24 hours.
And receive My Merchandise within 72 hours. I will take whatever action I deem necessary. (name has been left off)
