My 15 y.o. daughter refuses to obey house rules. She is lying, cheating, and stealing. Can I and how do I go about getting her emancipated so she can move out, get a job, and take care of herself? I'm divorced. Her bio-dad's whereabouts are unknown. We haven't heard from him in 6 years (he's $60,000 behind in child support so I doubt I'll hear from him anytime soon). As it was last left years ago, he and I do share joint legal and physical custody of her.

My response:

You can read this:

and then spend a couple of thousand dollars for the procedure on attorney's fees and costs, with no guarantees.
