Employee vacation pay?

What is the name of your state? New York (Westchester county)

The company I am working for just filed for Chapter 11. We received two notices - one that stated we would receive pay for time worked, and the other stating we would receive pay for time worked PLUS unused vacation time. Both notices appear to be posted at the same time.

I know some states make it mandatory that unused vacation time should be paid out. Does this apply to NYS as well?

Whether an employer is obligated to pay for unused time depends upon the terms of the vacation and/or resignation policy in New York.
