What is the name of your state? Hello, my company is based out of mass. & I live in Conn.

My problem started 3 weeks ago when the day before my direct deposit was to go into my account my employer called me and said it would not be going in because they changed payroll services. I thought that this was odd, but just requested they mail it. I finally received it a week later thus leaving me another check behind.I discussed this with my wife and turned in my notice at the end of the following week. They now owe me 2 paychecks and are using a lame excuse that they were not sure i was working those 2 weeks because I am in sales and not in the office. I say that makes no difference if that were true they should have let me go. Any help would be great, I have just tried to be fair with these people.

Connecticut reg's require that final wages be paid no later than the next regular pay day (and they have to pay you for any used vacation at that time too.) Call the employer back and tell them if they don't immediately pay you for the two weeks of pay you are missing, you'll have no option but to contact CT's DOL and file a complaint. That ought to get them moving. And if that doesn't work, then by all means follow through.
